Wild Blue Yonder opens from ovoid, dark purple-red buds, revealing medium to large, camellia-like blooms in rich purple with a lighter reverse. As the double flowers mature, they relax into gently cupped forms with ruffled edges, their colour paling to light purple while shifting to blue-lavender in cooler weather and wine-purple in warmer conditions. Lightly fragrant with old rose layered with citrus and spicy undertones, these blooms bring climate-responsive colour to the garden.
