Named for husband and wife German media personalities, this freely flowering climbing Austin rose delivers medium blooms in buttery apricot that move to pastel yellow. Teasing Georgia® unfurls deeply cupped flowers with a moderate fragrance of sweet old rose and tea, producing impressive displays into fall. Very winter hardy and heat tolerant, reaching 9'+, ideal for arches, pergolas, and vertical structures.

More About Teasing Georgia®

Teasing Georgia® opens from ovoid, peach-yellow buds borne in small clusters, revealing medium, deeply cupped blooms with buttery apricot hue. As the very double flowers mature, they evolve into classic old-fashioned forms, their color softening to pastel yellow at the edges and apricot hues subtly shifting with temperature and light. Moderately fragrant, with a beautifully balanced perfume of sweet old rose and a hint of tea, these blooms bring both graceful color variation and refined fragrance to the garden.

Growing Details

Teasing Georgia® forms a climbing rose with arching stems reaching 9'+ × 7'+, thriving from CA Zones 5-6+ | USDA 4-5+ to CA Zones 9+ | USDA 8+ and beyond with great cold hardiness and heat tolerance. Clad in dark green, leathery foliage with a matte finish, this repeat blooming climber flowers very abundantly into fall and adapts beautifully to both full sun and partial shade. Ideal for arches, pergolas, and vertical structures.
