'KORaburg', also known as Eliza Panarosa, Sweet Memory

A wild rose fragrance with sweet and fruity notes on a bloom that rewards every closer look. Eliza™ is a hybrid tea rose producing extra large, double flowers in medium pink with a lighter reverse, the veins holding their deeper colour as the bloom softens with age, moderately fragrant and ideal for statement plantings, beds, and borders. An ADR award-winner introduced in Germany in 2004 with good disease resistance and very winter hardy credentials.

More About Eliza™

Eliza™ unfolds from dark pink ovoid buds into extra large, double blooms in clusters and occasionally in solitary. The high-centered flowers move through a bulbous centre to a loosely cupped rosette, their thick petals revealing medium pink with a lighter reverse as the bloom opens. As it matures the overall colour lightens to a soft pink while the veins hold their deeper tone, adding an intricate and living detail to every flower. Pink stamens emerge as the bloom opens fully, completing a bloom that is quietly and consistently beautiful. Moderately fragrant with wild rose notes combined with sweet and fruity warmth, Eliza™ rewards every visit to the garden.

Growing Details

An upright hybrid tea rose reaching 4.5 feet in height and 3 feet in width. Eliza™ is covered in dark green leathery semi-glossy foliage and demonstrates good disease resistance. Very winter hardy, thriving in CA Zones 5-6+ | USDA 4-5+. Requires full sun and adapts to all soil types. A Kordes introduction that earned its first international recognition in 2004 and has quietly impressed rose growers ever since, Eliza™ is at home in statement plantings, beds, and borders.
