Part of the Kordes Fairytale® collection, Wellenspiel™ was officially baptised with actual North Sea water at the coastal town of Wilhelmshaven in July 2016. Meaning "the movement of waves" in German, this shrub rose lives up to its name, washing from pastel pink nearing cream to medium pink at the heart of each bloom. Moderately fragrant with sweet and fruity tropical notes, ideal for statement plantings, beds, and hedges. A multiple award-winner with a story as distinctive as its blooms.

Fairytale® Wellenspiel™ unfurls from creamy ovoid buds with pink edges and a hint of green into large to extra large, very double blooms in clusters. The long lasting and cupped flowers open in waves, layers of lightly scalloped and reflexed petals unfurling one after another, carrying a colour that moves from pastel pink nearing cream at the edges to medium pink at the heart. Moderately fragrant with sweet and fruity tropical and floral notes, each bloom is a small study in motion.
