Among thousands of seedlings germinated over the years, some you remember from first bloom. When this one appeared, hybridizer Brad Jalbert looked at its sweet little bloom and said "Oh what a Sweet Baby!" Sweet Baby™ is a shrub rose producing small to medium, very double cupped rosettes in soft pink with apricot centre aging to creamy white on hot days, fragrant with sweet fruity notes, ideal for beds, borders, and containers. A tough and charming 2023 Jalbert introduction with good disease resistance.

Sweet Baby™ unfolds from delicate pink bulbous buds into small, very double long lasting blooms. Clusters of gently cupped rosettes reveal delicate pink petals with a darker reverse and apricot centre, their delicately scalloped edges reflexing softly as the bloom opens. On hot days the colour softens to creamy white, giving each flush a slightly different character. Fragrant with sweet fruity notes of raspberry and a touch of pepper, Sweet Baby™ is as charming to the nose as it is to the eye.
Growing Details

A mounded and bushy shrub rose reaching 2.5 feet in both height and width. Sweet Baby™ is covered in medium green leathery semi-glossy foliage and demonstrates good disease resistance. Winter hardy, thriving in CA Zones 5-6+ | USDA 4-5+ and performs equally well in warmer climates. Grows in full sun to partial shade and adapts to all soil types. Despite its delicate appearance, Sweet Baby™ is one tough little rose, equally at home in beds, borders, hedges and containers.
