Reflecting Glory™ was selected by the Bakker Family to honour the 75th anniversary of their family nursery. This is a milestone close to our hearts since Lakeview Roses grew out of that family wholesale nursery as a way to connect directly with rose lovers across North America. We are delighted to have this beautiful rose, bred by the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre, available again in our fall line up. Its peachy-pink tones intensify in cooler weather bringing dynamic colour to your garden with a sweet fragrance and a hint of spice.
A Canadian Innovator In Horticulture
Vineland Research and Innovation Centre has operated in different forms over its 115 year history of supporting the Canadian horticultural and agricultural industries. They began breeding landscape roses in 2010 in collaboration with the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association with a focus on low maintenance, cold hardiness, and disease resistance. This made-for-Canada approach features qualities that are sought after by growers in all climates.
May We Introduce You To...
We would like to introduce the Kathy Dembroski Rose, another beauty from Vineland Research and Innovation Centre. Tested across Canada including in our fields, this upright rose is new to the general market and our lineup. It will be available to order starting this fall for shipping in spring 2027.
Named to commemorate Kathy Dembroski, a dedicated supporter of gardening and the horticultural community in Canada. This continuous blooming rose offers clusters of bright pink high-centered fragrant blooms. Perfect for adding vibrant colour and sweet fruit fragrance to your garden.
Did You Know...?
The process of breeding a new rose requires years of careful testing and observation. World-renowned breeding programs that have given us some of the best known and loved roses, typically spend anywhere from 5-15 years trialing a rose to bring it to market.
Hybridizers are watching for everything from bloom form, colour and repeat blooming qualities, to fragrance, disease resistance and winter hardiness, narrowing down thousands of seedlings to only a few that are truly worth sharing.
