'KORallister', also known as Roy McAllister

Named after the classic pink and white British confection, Coconut Ice™ delivers exactly what its name promises, hot pink blooms with a creamy white reverse that soften with age into something altogether more romantic. This grandiflora rose produces large, very double long lasting blooms, lightly fragrant with fruity notes, ideal for statement plantings, beds, hedges, borders, containers, and cutting. A winter hardy Kordes introduction with good disease resistance and firm stems that hold beautifully in the vase.

More About Coconut Ice™

Coconut Ice™ opens from red pink ovoid buds into large, very double blooms. Clusters of gently cupped rosettes reveal hot pink petals with a clean white reverse, a contrast that catches the eye from the first unfurling. As the bloom matures the hot pink softens gradually, the colour mellowing into something quieter and more romantic while the white reverse remains crisp throughout. Long lasting and lightly fragrant with fruity notes, Coconut Ice is a rose that rewards you differently at every stage of its bloom.

Growing Details

Upright and bushy with firm stems that make it as useful in the vase as it is in the garden, Coconut Ice™ reaches 4.5 feet in height and 3.5 feet in width. Its dark green matte textured foliage has good disease resistance and settles comfortably into full sun across any soil type. Very winter hardy, thriving in CA Zones 5-6+ | USDA 4-5+. Whether planted in beds, hedges, borders, containers, or brought indoors as a cut rose, Coconut Ice earns its place with every flush.
