Named for the Tennyson Society to commemorate the 200th anniversary of poet, Alfred, Lord Tennyson's birth, this Austin rose enchants with striking peachy blooms. Lady of Shalott™, the namesake of the woman from his poem who lived in a castle close to King Arthur's Camelot and was held in a spell, unfurls medium to large flowers in shades of peach with a crisp apricot-amber reverse. Releasing a moderate fragrance of tea, apple, and spice, it is a versatile rose, offering cold hardiness and heat tolerance in both sun and partial shade.

More About Lady of Shalott™

From warm orange-amber buds, Lady of Shalott™ unfolds medium-to-large pompom flowers in luminous peach and soft pink hues. The double blooms gradually develop into deeply cupped rosettes, with apricot-amber reverses that mellow beautifully over time. Lightly scented with tea, fruity apple, and a touch of spice, this rose delights the senses while filling the garden with romantic color and fragrance.

Growing Details

Lady of Shalott™ forms a bushy shrub with gently arching stems reaching 5' × 3', very winter hardy from CA Zones 5-6+ | USDA 4-5+ and beyond. In warmer climates this rose can be trained to be a small climber. Clad in dark green, leathery foliage with a semi-glossy finish, this continuous blooming rose shows minor fungal susceptibility in some growing areas. Ideal for statement plantings, beds, partial shade gardens, and pollinator-friendly spaces.
