This shrub rose produces large, semi-double blooms in a steadfast velvety dark red that holds its colour true without bluing, with petal edges darkening to near black in heat and bright yellow stamens lighting up the centre, ideal for beds, borders, hedges, and pollinator gardens. A compact and tidy 2021 Jalbert introduction that stays true to its name season after season.

Growing in large clusters, Canadian Glory™ opens from velvety dark red pointed buds into large, semi-double blooms. The blossoms settle to open and flat flowers displaying bright yellow stamens nestled among gently undulating petals lighting up the centre. In heat, the petal edges deepen to near black, adding an enticing contrast. Unlike many red roses, Canadian Glory™ holds its colour true without bluing as the bloom matures.

This is a mounded and bushy shrub rose reaching 3.5 feet in both height and width covered in dark green semi-glossy foliage. Canadian Glory™ is winter hardy, thriving in CA Zones 5-6+ | USDA 4-5+.
